NYSC

NYSC Update for final year students:

CU – NYSC WEB LINK
The National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) is a mandatory one-year service for all Nigerian graduates. This involves graduates (usually referred to as Prospective Corp Members – PCMs) being mobilized to various states of the Country to serve in various capacities in both Government and private owned organizations.
CU graduates have been engaged in the NYSC program since releasing Her first set of Eagles and will continue to do so.
NYSC mobilization is done online now and works together with Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB). That means, it is impossible to successfully mobilize any graduate whose details with JAMB and the University doesn’t tally in terms of names, course of study, date of birth etc.
With new policies being communicated to Student Affairs Officers (SAOs), NYSC office of various Corp Producing Institutions (CPIs), it has become necessary for there to be a CU-NYSC Web link, where PCMs and graduating students can updated about important information as it pertains to successful mobilization and registration on the NYSC portal. The CU-NYSC Web Link will serve as a platform where information will be passed across to PCMs and graduating set from time to time.
In lieu of this, the following will be needed on the link to inform PCMs and graduating set of what is required for successful mobilization and registration.
JAMB NEW POLICY
The new JAMB policy is that all PCMs revalidate their status on the JAMB portal. This entails all PCMs creating and account on JAMB portal after which they reprint their JAMB result and admission letter.
NOTE: This is mandatory for PCMs details to be successfully uploaded on the NYSC SABALM PORTAL by the Student Affairs Officer (SAO) in charge of NYSC for the University.

PCMs who regularized their admission should ensure that they use their NEW JAMB REG. NO. always.

2. If you noticed a disparity between the name you have in the school records and that of JAMB, you are to proceed to CU Admission Office where you will be informed on how to change your name with JAMB to tally with that of the university.
